Hello, and welcome to my new adventure!
Let’s get one
thing clear: I am not, nor will I ever claim to be a chef. My sister is a chef.
She went to school, excelled in an apprenticeship and can not only tell you the
difference between camembert and Gouda, but can recommend the best wine to go
with it. She’s mastered the art of braising and basting, and baking too. When I
need to know a specific recipe or when I can’t figure out why my cake is too
heavy, I go to her. But most days, I just wing it. I love food. I love to cook.
I love to entertain. What I don’t like? Having to follow a recipe like it’s the
Bible. I don’t like rules. (I rarely bake, for obvious reasons)
I’m just a mom.
Yea, right, like there truly is anything as “just a mom”. I’m also just a wife,
teacher, caregiver, hairdresser, etc. etc. etc. J
Seriously, though,
I’m your average, every day mom who doesn’t have enough hours in the day. I struggle
with the same question you do, “What’s for dinner?” Some days I have a “plan”.
Other days, I haven’t a clue. But either way you can be certain; I’ll always be
a Freestylin’ Foodie.
